Basic Policy on Information Security
Recognizing the key role played by information security in ensuring the propriety and efficiency of its business activities, MEIWA CORPORATION (the “Company”) has established this Basic Policy on Information Security as a set of guidelines for safeguarding Company information assets and will implement ongoing information security measures based on this Policy.

Information security management structure
The Company will establish an information security management structure and maintain and implement related rules and regulations to appropriately manage information assets.

Scope
This Policy applies to information assets held by the Company in the course of business and to all those who use these information assets.

Security measures
Appropriate security measures will be implemented to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets from four perspectives: human security, physical security, technological security, and organizational security.

Legal and regulatory compliance
The Company will promote information security measures in full compliance with all information security obligations imposed by laws, regulations, rules, norms, and contracts.

Training and education
The Company will implement the required training and education to ensure all officers and employees grasp the importance of information security and use and manage information assets appropriately.

Continual improvement
Information security initiatives will be reviewed when appropriate and improved on an ongoing basis in response to changing social conditions, laws and regulations concerning information security, recent technological trends, and newly identified risks.
