Department
The Chemical Materials Department supplies a broad range of chemical raw materials to customers across many industries, including various films and processed film products, printing materials (e.g., flexo printing plates and negative films), polymer raw materials (acrylates and other monomers), urethane raw materials (from general to specialty isocyanates and various polyols), resins for coatings, solvents and additives, and fillers (such as titanium oxide). Leveraging the strong partner relationships we have built, we add our own capabilities to materials and businesses to create new value and contribute to solving societal challenges.
Strengths of the business
In addition to Japan and China, we utilize our networks in Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia), South Korea and other markets to supply a diverse range of products to our customers. While accurately monitoring market changes, we are actively pursuing new product opportunities with an eye to the future—focusing on offerings that reduce environmental impact, promote the circular economy (CE), and support decarbonization.
